My favourite cinema in La Ciotat. Affordable prices, good quality of both sound and visual, comfy seats and friendly staff. Plus the best popcorn in the whole region!
Also the building is absolutely gorgeous and the interior keeps its old-fashioned feel.
Cozy cinema. More could be done to promote this beautiful Lumiere landmark among tourists. Small museum with pictures and English-French comments, or a video display including the history of the place.

The staff is always terribly friendly and knows their stuff: every week the programming gives pride of place to lovely gems of French and foreign cinema, while also offering blockbusters.
I particularly appreciate the fact that the films are offered in the original version with subtitles (the many non-French speakers in La Ciotat also appreciate this attention).
If I had to make a downside, it would be the discomfort of the seats, which are getting old.

On this point: reservation made on the internet as a precaution, to be sure of having a place,... but being told, upon arriving just on time, that it is full!! 🤯😡: very poor management of room filling. Those who have paid in advance online, for a specific session, must come first! …
This cinema located on Place Evariste Gras retains all the charm of the old days. In front of it you can see the metal structure of the old covered market.
